CODA – MFA THESIS EXHIBITION

Coda was an exhibition of work by studio artists and designers completing their Master of Fine Arts degrees from the Department of Art and Art History at the University of Texas at Austin. This exhibition featured the work of Jarrod Beck, Robert Boland, Erin Curtis, Aron Johnston, Marianne McGrath, Scott Proctor, Adam Schreiber, Stephanie Wagner, and Dave Woody. Students exhibited works in the forms of video and sculptural installation, painting, photography, and sculpture.
Come Together: New Work by Students, Faculty, Alumni, and Friends of the Department of Art and Art History

Come Together featured the work of a number of individuals who have influenced the Department of Art and Art History. Artists included: John Yancey, Jade Walker, Jane Eifler, Ken Hale, Bill Nowlin, Martha Leipziger-Pearce, SuSu Mayer, Margie Crisp, Lawrence McFarland, Karen Oswalt, Irene Roderick, and others.
The XXXI Annual Maya Meetings

The Maya Meetings bring scholars and interested individuals together once a year to study and explore the richness of ancient Maya art, archaeology and writing. Since their inception in 1977, the Meetings have featured lectures, forums, research workshops, and teaching practicums mostly geared to the study and learning of the hieroglyphic script. This year’s exhibition of works by Joan Patten featured rubbings from Central American archaeological sites.
